PIERRE BOURDY
Originaire de Bordeaux, Pierre a plusieurs casquettes dans le cinéma. Après des études de philosophie à l’université de Bordeaux 3, il réalise un long métrage de recherche et écrit différents scénarios, tout en menant de front des activités de documentaliste et libraire cinéma. Il a co-écrit deux ouvrages sur l’affiche de cinéma aux éditions Intemporel, cofondé l’Association Patrice Énard et supervisé la restauration des films de ce dernier.
En tant qu’expert en photos de cinéma, Pierre participe régulièrement à des ventes aux enchères à Drouot, à Paris. Depuis 2010, il consacre l’essentiel de son temps à traduire des scénarios pour le cinéma et la télévision, à sous-titrer des films, à rédiger et traduire des dossiers de presse.
A native of Bordeaux, Pierre has worn many hats in the film industry. After studying philosophy at the University of Bordeaux 3, he directed an experimental feature and wrote various screenplays, while running a cinema bookstore and working as a film archivist. He has co-written two books on film posters for the Éditions Intemporel, cofounded the Patrice Énard Association and supervised the restoration of that experimental filmmaker's entire body of work.
As an expert on cinema-related photography, Pierre regularly participates in auctions at the Drouot auction house in Paris. Since 2010, he has spent much of his time translating screenplays and teleplays, subtitling films, and writing and translating press materials.
